Jawan is a 2023 Bollywood action thriller film written and directed by Tamil director Atlee Kumar. Shah Rukh Khan, Vijay Sethupathi, and Nayanthara starred in the lead roles, along with Yogi Babu, Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, and many others in supporting roles. G. K. Vishnu handled the cinematography, while Ruben serving as the film's editor. Anirudh Ravichander composed the movie's soundtrack and background tracks. In light of this film, Anirudh is going to be the most wanted music director in Bollywood. Anirudh also performed a song with Jonita Gandhi, Kaala Bhairava, and Abhishek Nailwal in this film. The action scene was directed by Yannick Ben, and the song lyrics were written by Kumaar. This movie was produced by Gauri Khan under Red Chillies Entertainment. This movie has a significant Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu theatrical release and is distributed by AA Films and Yash Raj Films.

Jawan shares the story of an Indian individual who endured the harshest torture at the hands of a gang that brutally tormented many pitiful regular people while unable to understand the difference between even a little child. He made the decision not to leave anyone to cause harm to society after escaping from the gang. The remaining plot of this movie concerns how he locates the major antagonist and how he aims to take him out.

There were rumours that Shah Rukh Khan and Atlee would collaborate on a film in late 2019. The project was confirmed in 2020, and filming was slated to begin soon, in May 2021. The film's title, Jawan," along with a video, was released on June 3, 2022. Later, the film got postponed, and a new release date was announced through a motion poster released on May 6, 2023.
Making of Jawan
The principal photography for the film Jawan began in September 2021 in Pune, with Shah Rukh Khan and Nayanthara joining the shoot for 10 days. Khan resumed filming in June 2022 in Hyderabad, and Nayanthara joined the Mumbai schedule on June 26, 2022, after her marriage. The next schedule took place in August in Chennai, where Deepika Padukone shot her cameo. Vijay Sethupathi also joined the shoot, and action sequences between Khan and Sethupathi were filmed. A song featuring Priyamani and Khan was also shot in jail. The Chennai schedule wrapped on October 7 after a month of filming. The next schedule was held in Rajasthan in October, with Khan and Nayanthara joining for a 20-day shoot. The next schedule took place in February 2023, when Khan shot some chase scenes. Sanjay Dutt joined the shoot on March 20, 2023, to shoot an action-packed cameo. Filming wrapped in April 2023, with two songs featuring Khan and Nayanthara and one featuring Deepika Padukone for her cameo appearance.
